AMP grant supports Cheyenne Symphony’s “Celebrating America” series

The Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra received an AMP grant to support the first two programs of its season-long “Celebrating America” series. Among the works performed in the Wyoming orchestra’s October and November programs were Bernstein’s Candide Overture, Barber’s Knoxville Summer of 1915, Ives’ Symphony No. 2, Morton Gould’s American Symphonette No. 2 and the world premiere of Jeff Lippencott’s Pasturelands, a cello concerto with Zuill Bailey as soloist.
