The Van Swietens

The American Music Project today announced winners of AMP grants for the 2025-26 season.

The Van Swietens will mark the 250th anniversary of the  Declaration of Independence by performing “Jefferson in France,” a program exploring rarely heard American music of the  Revolutionary War period by the “Yankee Tunesmiths,” also known as the First New England School.

The Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra will present a season-long “Celebrating America” series, with five concerts of American music ranging from popular works by Bernstein and Gershwin to less-often heard music by Samuel Barber, Florence Price, Morton Gould, Ferde Grofe, and Charles Ives.
