The American Music Project has announced grant winners for the 2023-24 season.

Alexander Crosett will perform a program of American piano music in Boston including Barber’s Excursions, Fred Hersch’s 24 Variations on a Bach Chorale and music of Dana Suesse, Betty Jackson King, Karen Tanaka, Mary Ellen Childs and Gabriela Lena Frank.

Left Coast Chamber Ensemble will explore art songs and piano music of California, mostly by women composers, from Elinor Remick Warren and Carrie Jacobs-Bond to Vivian Fung, Addie Camsuzou and Gabriela Lena Frank.

The Horizon Ensemble will perform Amy Beach’s “Gaelic” Symphony and the world premiere of Ryan Johnston’s Piano Concerto in Boston.
