Homegrown music for wind quintet explored in Michigan

Pure Winds gave a program of rarely heard American music for wind quintet June 6 in Lansing, Michigan. The program, funded in part by an AMP grant, included Irving Fine’s Partita for Winds and William Grant Still’s Miniatures, along with works by Steven Bryant, Eric Ewazen, Amanda Harberg and Gala Flagello.
