American wind music given voice with AMP grant in Washington

Chamber Music Marysville in Washington state performed a concert of American wind music April 15, which was made possible by a grant from the American Music Project.

The program included Alan Hovhaness’s Artik concerto for horn, Samuel Barber’s Canzone, Leo Ornstein’s Nocturne, Bernard Heiden’s Horn Sonata, and Skyscrapers of Jeanne Gang by B. C. Gessel.
