Kontras Quartet will return for second AMP concert in June

Following last year’s successful concert, the American Music Project is bringing back the Kontras Quartet for another program of superb yet rarely performed American chamber music.

This year’s lineup will include Amy Beach’s String Quartet in One Movement, Walter Piston’s String Quartet No. 3, Gabriella Smith’s Carrot Revolution, Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson’s String Quartet No. 1 “Calvary,” and John Harbison’s String Quartet No. 3.

Concert time is 7 p.m. Wednesday June 7 at Roosevelt University’s Ganz Concert Hall.

Admission is $20. For a very limited time, there is a BOGO offer and those who buy a ticket in advance will receive a second ticket free. E-mail [email protected].
